It sounds good but I had problems with it in the sense, that except for the romance I had zero interest in the amulet which was a major part of the plot. Both enemies to each other, find themselves in a position where they become allies. The plot is pretty simple, the pirate and the witch hunting for an amulet for their own purposes. While I absolutely adored the first book, this one fell short and could not compete.

I love a good assassin falling in love with their mark trope. And while that did bring it down a little for me, I think it also really added to its overall charm.Ĭecilia and Ned were an adorable match. I just have no idea what genre it was hanging out in and exactly what the plot was trying to accomplish. And not even in a bad way because it was verrrrry entertaining.
